This is a hand-drawn, extraordinarily detailed, masterpiece by Jake Fried. Jack started as a painter, but his work has shifted into the temporal dimension; these pictures move, and then some. It’s an animated kaleidoscope. Give your eyes a work out and watch this!
Moosebox & Monster Pack.
In September, Nickelodeon announced the 8 finalists of their Global animated shorts program. Two episodes that really stood out for me where Moosebox and Monster Pack.
Moosebox is 2 minutes of 8-bit animated insanity. This is animation that is proud to be different. It doesn’t look like any other animation being developed or created by a mainstream broadcaster – so plaudits to Nickelodeon all round.
The producers of Monster Pack have an equal measure of creative cajones. Monster Pack unleashes a box of cartoon crazy. I loved it. Fans of Cartoon Food will recognise Pedro from some of our previous posts.
